In a previous post, I mentioned that Noelle is VERY fond of cheese. What you may not know is that she also smiles, waves her arms, and asks for it by name with a loud "CHEE! CHEE! CHEE!" So...knowing we were going to the grocery store yesterday, I thought I'd try to catch this on camera. Here's the happy kid surrounded by cheese!
Mommy let her hold the cheese...this was cute at first...What was I thinking?! Eventually it became clear that I was going to have to take it from her and put it in the cart. BIG meltdown!! I saw a nice lady with some cheese cube samples...so we made our way over to her. Noelle was happy to eat the 2 cubes that I gave her. However, when we started to walk away from the cheese lady and her lovely samples...there was another meltdown. Then comes the runny nose because she is getting over another cold. Wiping the nose causes more crying, which causes more runny nose, etc. I got out the snack container of Gerber Puffs & Cheerios that I always bring with me. These were definitely inferior to the cheese in Noelle's opinion, but she eventually stopped crying and started eating her snack.
How quickly the moods of a 1 year-old can change! After an abbreviated shopping trip (trying to avoid further outbursts in the store), we went outside and looked at the plants. Ah, the simple pleasures...she was happy again...especially when allowed to hold Mommy's wallet.

The cheese thing absolutely cracks me up. You should talk to Jeff and Sherri C. They took a video of their youngest searching in the fridge for cheese.
Now I've heard of this twice. What a riot!!!
I guess she takes after her big cousin, Rachel. You know she loved cheese when she was little, and she still does!! Love the pictures - she is growing so fast and she is so pretty. Hope all is well!!
