Tues. 9/23

Well, today is Tuesday, 9/23/08, and a week ago today I was having outpatient surgery. Just wanted you to know that I'm feeling much more like normal physically. Emotionally, both Chris and I are feeling better as far as the miscarriage is concerned. We've just had a lot of other stressful things to deal with in addition to the miscarriage lately. Stressful job situations, car repairs, kitchen flooring repair, Chris is having x-rays on his hurt finger as I write this...I'm sure you've all experienced times when you had a lot of things to deal with around the same time. Through it all, I know that the Lord is teaching us many things...especially about leaning on Him, and the importance of spending time with Him daily.

Over the weekend, we were able to spend some fun time together as a family at one of our new "favorite" parks nearby. Also, for those of you who go to our Church, we felt that Brian Frost's sermon in the DLC was just exactly what we needed to hear on Sunday, 9/21. We both really appreciated the way that the Lord used this sermon to comfort and encourage us.

I'm looking forward to getting our blog back to normal as well. I liked it a lot better when it involved more pictures of our little cutie pie, Noelle! She's growing and changing all the time! So, hopefully we'll have something a bit more fun and upbeat to post soon!

Geez Kristin- I didn't know you were having to deal with all those other things as well. I sure will remember you and Chris in my prayers!!! And, can't wait to see some cute new pictures of Miss Noelle! :)

While I look forward to seeing more pictures and reading upbeat posts, thank you for sharing the not-so-upbeat stuff as well. While I usually post about the upbeat stuff as well and sometimes shy away from posting the real, not-so-upbeat stuff, I know that God often calls me to share the less-than-cheerful corners of my life so that He can be glorified in them. So thanks for sharing and for allowing God to shine through this!

We love you!

Just wanted you to know that we are lifting you guys up everyday and that we love you! When it rains it pours, right?! Wish we weren't so far away. Sending you big hugs from WA.

Praying you through this difficult time! Brian Frost's sermon sure did hit me right between the eyes (in a good way of course). I'm sure God orchestrated those of us that needed to be in the DLC that Sunday.
