Boo Boo

We went to a park on Saturday to enjoy the beautiful weather. Hmm...have you ever seen anyone do one of those silly relay races where they have to turn around in circles with their head on the handle of a wooden bat? You know how the person is always very dizzy after this and often falls down? Well...Noelle wasn't involved in any relay races...but she became fascinated with this large, cement "ball" on the sidewalk at the park. It's kind of like the "balls" out in front of the Target stores, just not red. So...she started walking around it in a circle with her hand on it...over and over and over. When she came out of this walking pattern, she was still going fast...she did her dizzy walk...she fell...and SMACK went her head on a brick curb. Ouch! She doesn't normally cry when she falls down unless it really hurts. This hurt so bad in that moment that she just held her mouth open for awhile (holding her breath) until she finally let loose with the screaming! Poor thing...I think it scared her...scared us too! We're thankful that it wasn't worse. We thought she'd have a lump on her forehead for a few days...but today it just looks like a scratch. :o)

It's amazing how quickly they heal! And I know that cry ... we call it "silent cry" around here!

Thanks for your prayers!

Poor baby! She's cute even with a bump on her head.:) I'll never forget when my Ella took a bad tumble and actually fractured her forehead! Thankfully little ones heal fast and she was fine (of course that was after ER visits and 2 CAT scans!). She did however have a huge black eye for 3 weeks. We just kept saying, "You should see the other guy!". :) Oh the things we get to do as parents!!:)

It is so scary when those things happen, but kids seem to heal so much quicker and bounce back so much better than us adults. And yes, they even find a way to be cute in the process!
