"Pumped"!!

I have officially stopped the Zofran pump! Better than that, I have taken the infusion site out of my leg (upper thigh)! Even though this Zofran pump really helped me during a rough patch, I'm so glad not to have to wear the thing (like a small purse) strapped to me anymore. Also, very glad not to have to change the site every 1-2 days...it's kinda like sticking yourself in the leg with a tack (yikes)....but honestly, it's not that bad... it just really freaked me out at first!! The nurse that I check in with daily by phone has been helping me to wean off of the pump gradually, so now I'll just be taking Zofran and Phenergan by mouth as needed. I am soo grateful!

It's good timing too...because you may remember that we're getting ready to go on a cruise soon...can't believe that's real either! Also, Noelle is feeling much better now. So glad that bad chest cough has been improving. She takes her last dose of the Tamiflu this morning. Her dosage was 2x per day for 5 days (liquid medicine). Even though I've never had any flu symptoms, I have to take 1 pill by mouth for 10 days. :o( The last pill for me will be on Sunday, Nov. 8th.

Praise God for his tender mercies that are new every morning!!
